SME Instrument
GRAPHENETECH has the financial support of the European Commission through the SME instrument of the Horizon 2020 program for the industrialization of the GrapeheTech production process, in the project “LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION METHOD OF GRAPHENE TO REACH THE MARKET IN AN EFFECTIVE WAY “.
This project has received funding from the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 739200.
The objective of this initiative is the development of large-scale production of graphene by exfoliation process to obtain an estimated daily production between 800-1000kg.
Today, one of the major obstacles to the development of graphene in large-scale applications is the lack of high-performance, low-cost industrial processes. Therefore it will carry out the industrialization of its innovative production process, which will produce high quality graphene and low cost, which at present is not possible with conventional methods, either because they are methods that do not allow the industrialization process, or assuming a very high cost.
The project is aligned with the REINDUS program of MINETUR.
The application of the new production line to expand the productive capacity of graphene also intends to incorporate innovative products or processes, at least in sector level technologies, taking into account that the execution of this project responds to the market of real needs in With respect to the incorporation of graphene into polymer-based composites.
